It’s a doll but not as we know it!

Bollywood fans can now take home dolls of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan or Priyanka Chopra.

Toy manufacturer and distributor Spin Master Toys UK have joined forces with entrepreneur Shameen Jivraj, to launch the dolls, which will be available across the UK this month.

The first four 'Legends', Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol and Priyanka Chopra saw the actors themselves involved throughout the process of creating them.

Shameen said, "I became intrigued by Bollywood a little while ago and was drawn into the movies with their mix of fun, fashion, music and dance."

The resulting 12" dolls have been crafted, with attention paid to every detail, from their outfits and their expressions down to Shah Rukh Khan's famously curved eyebrows.

"I really wanted to capture the essence of these wonderful and complex screen personalities.

"As they shared their thoughts and vision for the dolls with me, I got to know them better and was more easily able to have their enchanting personas transformed into the miniature versions. Versions, which I hope everyone will want and be proud to own."

Both Priyanka Chopra and Kajol were apparantly delighted in the idea of their dolls wearing traditional Indian outfits.

Kevin Jones, Managing Director of Spin Master Toys UK adds: "Bollywood Legends was a completely new market for Spin Master, but a very exciting one.

"Bollywood spans all ages, and we did a lot of research into the market before taking the plunge. Not even Tom Cruise has his own doll in the UK!"

Hrithik Roshan, said, "Wow, I can't believe you have created thisI feel so honoured that you came to me with the idea of creating a doll of me."

Shameen added, "It has been a real privilege and pleasure to work with these stars. I was delighted with their excitement and involvement on the development of the dolls, despite their many commitments."

Bollywood Legends will be available in Argos stores nationwide and selected Toys 'R' Us stores.
