As a Post Graduate who has conducted extensive research into the British National Party (BNP) and sites like Redwatch, I have to agree with Chris Davies (MEP Shrugs off Threat), that "closing Redwatch down would be a mistake".

Redwatch is undoubtedly a vile and extremist site, the purpose of which is to try and intimidate anybody who speaks out against groups like the BNP, Combat 18 (C18) and White Nationalist Party (WNP).

But closing it down would create more problems than it would solve. For one, it would make it harder for the police to know who these extremists were and who they were targeting.

Thus, the police would not be able to warn people they were on a Nazi hit list and give them the chance to introduce safety measures.

For another, the site would only appear under another name and still issue the same threats and death lists as the people who run this site have made abundantly clear all too often in the past.
