Roadworks which have been causing traffic chaos for more than a month are set to come to an end next week.
Roadworks and temporary traffic lights have been in place on the Singleton Road junction of Bury New Road in Sedgely Park since March 4 due to gas works.
But gas network Cadent has now confirmed that the maintenance should be completed on Thursday, April 25.

The traffic has been causing delays for motorists during rush hour.
One resident said: “I know roadworks need to be done but it will be great when they’re finished as it feels like they’ve been there forever.
“I’m glad I don’t have a daily commute into the city centre using that route.
"Sedgely Park is always busy during rush hour.”

Cadent has been replacing old metal pipes with new plastic ones, which will make the supply of gas safer.
A spokesperson for Cadent said: “We are working towards April 25 that as the end date.
“This is essential mains replacement works, upgrading older metallic pipes with new plastic ones, which means a safe supply of gas to local homes for many years to come.”
