A fire crew from Bolton tackled an electrical car fire today, after neighbour's spotted flames.
Firefighters arrived at Kentmere Road, Breightmet, at around 6am this morning, following an electrical fault with a vehicle’s lights.
Firefighters remained on the scene for about 30 minutes to help ensure it didn’t spread.
There were no reported injuries.
Watch manager from Bolton North, Glyn McGann said: “We arrived at around 6am to Kentmere Road, Breightmet after a car had an electrical fault, where the engine was on fire.
“The fault was with the lights at the front of the car.
“We were there for about 30 minutes to spark away the electrics and assisted the clean-up.
“There were no injuries.
“Neighbours spotted it, so we made sure it didn’t spread.”
