Police have seized two off-road bikes today in the Pimhole area, as part of a campaign to crack down on the crime.
According to officers this has led to a series of anti-social behaviour.
Bury South GMP have warned owners of off-road bikes not to drive them on roads or any other public places, due to them being uninsured, and often driven without an appropriate license.
A spokesperson for Bury South GMP said: “Central team officers have seized two vehicles that have been driven illegally on the road and caused antisocial behaviour within the Pimhole Area.
“These officers are tackling off-road bikes and e-scooters being used on roads.
“These vehicles cannot be driven on a road or other public place as they are uninsured and usually driven without the appropriate license.
“They also increase the risk of injury to both the rider and members of the public which usually results in serious injury when it goes wrong.”
