WINDSOR has been lucky enough to see a range of new eateries open in the town recently.
Cafes and restaurants have all welcomed locals and tourists to enjoy a coffee, snack or a meal.
Here are some of the places that have opened in Windsor in the last couple of months:
Ole & Steen
Ole & Steen, an all-day bakery, welcomed visitors to its new branch in Windsor Yards on Thursday, August 4.
Danish pastries, Ole & Steen’s famous Socials, authentic breads and fresh lunches will all be on offer to customers seven days a week.
Guy Bosworth, head of stores at Ole and Steen: “I think it brings something very different to Windsor. We bring bakeries and coffee shops all together.
"You can come here if you’re a family at the weekend and want some brunch. Buy your bread for the weekend, or if you’re a tourist and you want to buy a coffee with that pastry we’re here directly by the train station."
Franco Manca
A sourdough pizza chain has now officially opened in the town.
Popular restaurant Franca Manca welcomed customers to its new branch at 136/137 Peascod Street, which replaced the former White Stuff unit.
A spokesperson for GCW, who acted on behalf of the landlord for the site, said: “Franco Manca will no doubt be a great addition to Peascod Street and Windsor.
“Their opening in the former White Stuff highlights the shift we are seeing across the country from traditional retail to more food and beverage occupiers.
“After a difficult period, there has been a lot of retail and leisure activity in Windsor over the past 12 months, with several new entrants now open or opening soon."
