ROYAL Mail is expanding its apprenticeship scheme offering up to 31 roles in Yorkshire, it has been announced.

The postal apprenticeship roles will be focussed on school and college leavers.

It follows on from the company’s 2021 launch of its new apprenticeship programme.

The scheme will offer Level 2 Apprenticeships based at various locations across the UK and has been developed to appeal to those who have less than one year or no work experience to support them into employment.

The 13-month programme will provide a blend of personal and employability skills, health and safety, and industry knowledge. Customer Service is a core part of the training, helping to build the apprentices’ confidence, skills and product knowledge.

Applications can be made from today via the Early Careers section at jobs.royalmailgroup.com. The scheme will close at the end of this week on Friday, July 1.

The selection process will focus on practical skills and behaviours, as well as providing applicants the opportunity to understand more about the role

Successful applicants will be offered an apprentice role in the business and placed in a suitable vacant position on successful completion of the apprenticeship

The first successful apprentices will begin in July 2022.
