A CONTEMPORARY art and craft exhibition is going ahead in Lyme Regis this month.
'Elements' will take place from the Malthouse Gallery at the Town Mill Courtyard from Thursday, November 25 until Sunday, December 5.
The work is inspired by the landscape of the Jurassic Coast, which curator Alison Shelton Brown notes became 'even more precious' when people were unable to travel due to lockdown.
The exhibition will showcase the results of Daniel Richardson and Hazel Dormer's online conversations during the first coronavirus lockdown to get back into art again 35 years after leaving art school.
Robin Welch has thrown a new body of work for this show, whilst Charlie Salaman is showcasing his vessels featuring layered surfaces with complex colours. Jonathan Mulvaney, a participant in Sky Arts’ ‘Landscape Artist of the Year 2020’ shows the results of his frequent early mornings to patiently record the ebb and flow of early mornings by the harbour at Lyme Regis.
The exhibition will run from 10.30am until 5.30pm, and until 8pm on Saturday, November 27.
