A UK Charity says it has 'terminated its relationship' with Qari Fatih Seferagic ahead of a major Eid event.

Human Appeal said it was ‘taking seriously the concerns of the community, and always seek to uphold values of transparency and accountability’.

Qari Fatih Seferagic is one of the most well-known Quranic reciters in the world and taking part in a ‘10 days tour’. He was also due to be the main guest at an Eid event organised by the Redbridge Islamic Centre and Eman Channel at Valentines Park tomorrow.

In a statement the charity Human Appeal said: “We have received feedback from our valued donors and supporters in relation to our ongoing Best 10 Days Tour with Qari Fatih Seferagic, as well as an 'Eid in the Park' event that Human Appeal had agreed to sponsor on Tuesday 20 July 2021, hosted by Eman Channel and Redbridge Islamic Centre.

“In all our activities, we seek to further our faith-based values and provide opportunities for our community to partake in the charitable act of giving to those who need it the most. As part of our enhanced processes, we conduct a number of industry-standard assessments that are primarily legal and statutory in nature."

Redbridge Islamic Centre posted: “Following feedback from the community, Human Appeal have decided to end their relationship with Qari Fatih Seferagic (who was their guest at our Eid in the Park event), hence he will no longer be attending the EiTP event.”
