A man has died following a crash in Essex.
A car and lorry were involved in the collision which happened shortly before midday.
Police were forced to close Dowding Way, Waltham Abbey, following the crash and had previously warned it would be closed throughout the afternoon.
In an update at 3.30pm, police have now revealed a man who was driving the car involved in the collision died at the scene.
A spokesman added: “The road has been closed while we investigate and recover the vehicles.
“It is likely to remain shut into this evening.
“Our enquiries are ongoing but no arrests have been made.
“We need anyone who saw what happened or has dash cam footage to contact us.”
