Volunteers from the 'Benefit Mankind' Charity joined forces with IMO (Inspire, Motivate, Overcome) to distribute gifts to those working over the Christmas weekend.

The team have been visiting staff across the North West including Blackburn, Darwen, Bolton, Preston and Nelson as part of their ‘Key workers Appreciation Project’ throughout December.

The aim was to honour, among others, those working in the NHS, the Fire Service, Police staff at care homes. Benefit Mankind is an international aid relief and development organisation located in Blackburn.

Ahead of the visits Dr Mulla, CEO of Benefit Mankind said: “The efforts made by our key workers has been unprecedented this year and for them all to risk their lives to help others is an act of kindness, compassion and love.

“We at Benefit Mankind will aim to deliver gifts to all keyworkers where possible. I would like to thank all the key workers for their amazing efforts and we pray that together we can tackle this virus and get life back to normal as soon as possible.

“Benefit Mankind have partnered with IMO Charity for the key workers appreciation project, the gifts will be delivered in Manchester, Rochdale, Chorley, Bury, Preston, Blackburn, Bolton, and other locations in the United Kingdom.

“We would like to thank all the key workers around the world for their sterling efforts once again and we pray you all are always safe. We would like to also thank all our donors and supporters for making a difference here in the UK and abroad.”
