Here is the first look inside the new Hampton by Hilton Hotel in Blackburn.

Ahead of the official opening the Lancashire Telegraph got an invitation to view the hotel for the first time.

The 152-room hotel will be the first Hilton brand to open in the area and has been built by Monte Blackburn Limited. The Hotel forms the centrepiece of a £100million complex which is also being run by Monte Blackburn  Limited.

The new Hampton by Hilton is being touted as the ‘entrance to Blackburn’ and was built on what was farmland rejuvenating the area and the town. The hotel includes a large stylish reception area which is also used as a restaurant and café zone. It has a ground floor gym and higher floors give views across the town.

Presently rooms start at only £47 on the official website where you can also book a King Family rooms with interconnecting doors for £117 from today.

The hotel is located on the Frontier Park Site which features a Starbucks, KFC, Subway and Greggs. The first Cinnabon bakery in the country will open at this site on Friday (Decemeber 5) alongside Sbarro, an American pizzeria chain that specialises in New York-style pizza. The retail park complex has created 135 jobs and is part of a major regeneration for the region.

Earlier this year it was announced the hotel will be managed by Samantha Strefford who has more than 15 years experience in the hospitality industry, including management positions at Aloft, Radisson Blu and Crown Plaza

Plans were announced for Hampton by Hilton in January 2019 and opening plans pushed back due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Hilton brands include Conrad, Canopy, Signia, Curio, Double Tree as well as the classic Hilton Hotels such as the Waldorf Astoria.
