An abandoned car that was graffitied with swastikas and National Front initials has caused outrage among residents.
On Saturday evening, a resident in Longridge, who was passing by the Aldi supermarket on Whittingham Road in the town, noticed that distasteful, far-right graffiti had been sprayed on a vehicle parked in the car park.
Amanda Jane, who took the photos, said the car, which she believed had been abandoned in the car park for some time, was probably vandalised on Friday evening.
She said: "It must have been on Friday night sometime as I walk past it everyday, and these photos were taken on Saturday night."
After posting the images on social media, people in Longridge condemned the graffiti, calling it 'horrific' and 'shameful'.
One person said: "How disrespectful. Probably some kids thinking they're cool showing off, but don't actually understand what it means."
While another commented: "What the hell is wrong with people?!"
Whereas one Facebook user said: "Maybe someone has done it so the car will get moved?"
The car, which is believed to have no tax or insurance, also had an 'NF' graffitied on the drivers' door and 'Biff' on the windscreen.
The police have been contacted for a statement.
