THE streets of Bradford city centre were deserted on Friday, a day after the start of the national lockdown.
It is a big contrast to earlier in the week when the streets were packed with shoppers and those trying to enjoy a little bit of freedom before the national lockdown set in at midnight on Thursday.
On Wednesday, it was "Christmas come early" as shoppers scrambled to their favourite stores in a rush to buy presents for loved ones in preparation for Christmas or other special occasions.
Essential shops and takeaways remain open now, but as the photos suggest Bradford residents are doing their best to adhere to the tougher restrictions.
