CHARITIES across the region, including those in the Bradford and Craven districts, are set to receive a share of £650,000.

The sum includes £90,000 from the Government’s Coronavirus Community Support Fund.

The West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership funds, channelled through local partners, will be used to support people disproportionately affected by COVID-19.

Dr James Thomas, clinical chair for Bradford District and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group, said: "This coronavirus support fund was flexible did not require the applicant organisations to complete another round of paperwork. The focus rightly should be on helping more people and not filling in unnecessary forms."
