A WALKER was airlifted to hospital after falling on Blencathra in the Lake District.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service landed one of its aircraft on the hill, which is also known as Saddleback, in the northern fells after receiving reports of a fall yesterday afternoon.
A spokesperson said: "Our paramedic and doctor team assessed and treated a patient before airlifting them to hospital."
