A 74-year-old woman has rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a car crash in Cairneyhill on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services raced to the scene at Station Road just before 2pm and the road remaining closed for several hours.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a one-vehicle road crash on Station Road, Cairneyhill, around 1.50pm on Monday, 19 October, 2020.
"Emergency services attended and a 74-year-old woman was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
"The road-reopened around 6.40pm."
