TRIBUTES have flooded in for a ‘beautiful, kind and caring’ woman who was found dead inside her home earlier this week alongside her 14-year-old daughter.

Dr Saman Mir Sacharvi, who worked for the South Lancashire and Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, has been described as an ‘amazing doctor’ who will be ‘sadly missed and fondly remembered’.

It was revealed yesterday that the 49-year-old died as a result of pressure being placed upon her neck in her Colne Road, Burnley, home.

A post-mortem examination has since revealed she had been subjected to an assault before her death.

Her daughter, Vian Mangrio, was also found dead inside their fire-damaged home though the cause of her death has yet to be revealed.

Now dozens have paid tribute to the doctor and her daughter, including her employers. In a social media post a spokesman for the South Lancashire and Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust said: “Our thoughts are with Dr Sacharvi’s family and friends at this terribly sad time.

“She was a well-loved and well-liked colleague here at the Trust, described as “brilliant” and a “joy to work with”. Please follow our colleagues at Lancashire Police who are investigating this devastating incident and if you have any information, come forward and let them know.”

Posting to Facebook, Julie Chapman said: “Such a beautiful kind caring, lady. Words can’t express how awful this is. RIP Dr Saman and your beautiful daughter. It was a privilege to have met you and been able to work with you. Thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends at this sad time.”

Helen Monk added: “Beautiful woman and an amazing Doctor. She was loved and well thought of on Edisford Ward. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.”

Christini Patini said: “Our lovely, warm, funny gentle colleague. Only last week a service user asked if she was as lovely to work with as she was with her patients, and she was”

A double murder investigation was launched on Friday after the bodies were found.

Speaking outside the family’s home son Saturday afternoon, Supt Jon Holmes, Lancashire Constabulary’s Head of Major Crime, said: “This is a truly harrowing set of circumstances and my thoughts are very much with the loved ones of Dr Sacharvi and Miss Mangrio. They have my deepest condolences at this awful time.

“We are now treating the investigation as a double murder inquiry and although we are still in the relatively early stages we have a dedicated team of detectives and staff working on it. They are following a number of lines of enquiry to piece together exactly what has happened.

“I would now appeal to anyone with any information about these two deaths to get in touch with us.

“Perhaps you have seen something suspicious close to the scene in recent days or weeks, maybe you have CCTV or dashcam footage taken in the area that you can share with us, or perhaps you think you know who may be responsible. Even if you think that the information you have is insignificant, please come and speak to us and let us be the judge.
