A CAR was 'completely destroyed' by a 'deliberate' fire in a Somerset town in the early hours of this morning (September 30).
Firefighters from Frome were called to Castle Street in the town at 4.10am after reports of a vehicle blaze.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the vehicle was 'well alight' when the crew arrived.
"A further appliance was requested for assistance and sent from Frome also," they added.
"The car was completely destroyed and damaged two adjacent vehicles due to the heat.
"A nearby property also sustained damage from the heat of the fire.
"Police attended due to the nature of the incident, which was deemed as deliberate ignition."
