An investigation into the shooting in Coventry has identified this taxi which police say could assist with their enquiries.

The taxi is believed to be a silver coloured Peugeot Tepee, with a white taxi sign on the roof, and it was in Far Gosford Street at the time of the shooting.

Police said they would like to speak to the driver as they could have valuable information or even dash cam footage which could be crucial in helping to identify the offenders.

Detective Inspector Kat Sibley from Force CID, said: “We are exploring several lines of enquiry and this taxi driver could hold information to assist us.

“The men injured on Thursday evening are thankfully less seriously injured than intially thought and only one remains in hospital where his condition is stable, however we are still determined to catch those responsible for this horrific violence.

“We are continuing with increased patrols and we have a Dispersal Order in place in the area. Please talk to us if you have any concerns."
