A man has been found stabbed in the head in a Morrisons car park.
Police were called to the supermarket, in Bacup, at around 5.50pm on Wednesday following a call from a member of the public who said a man had been found with injuries.
On arrival, officers discovered a 20-year-old man had been stabbed in the head.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening but he was taken to hospital for treatment.
The police have now launched an investigation.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We were called at shortly after 5.50pm on Wednesday, to the report that a man had been found with injuries on Morrisons car park in Bacup.
"The man, 20, had suffered stab wounds to his head.
"He was taken to hospital to be treated and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
"An investigation is underway and enquiries are on-going to find the person responsible."
