THE ground floor of a corner house in an industrial area of Bradford could become a new deli if plans submitted to Bradford Council are approved.

The property, 256 Bowling Back Lane, is on the junction of the street and Parry Lane, an area the application says is "predominantly surrounded by a number of small commercial and industrial uses."

As well as several industrial businesses, there are a number of small cafes in the area, serving the local workforce.

Submitted by Mohammad Hamid, the planning application is for the conversion of the ground floor only into a 70 square metre deli and cold snack takeaway that would open between 11am and 5pm.

The business would create two full time and one part time jobs. The first floor of the building would remain in residential use.

A decision on the application is expected to be made by Bradford Council in early November.
