FIREFIGHTERS were called out to remove a snake from a children's club in North Yorkshire.
A crew from Selby helped to remove the unwanted visitor, three foot long grass snake from a club in the town this afternoon.
Station manager Bob Hoskins said: "It was released in a safe place by Firefighter Lawrence who had snakes as pets from a young age.
"No children were present & nobody was hurt."
Grass snakes are native to the UK, non-venomous and feed almost exclusively on amphibians.
