AN 11-YEAR-OLD cyclist is in hospital with "serious injuries" after a collision with a car.
The young boy was riding down Hawes Avenue, in Little Horton, last night (Sunday, August 9), at around 8.55pm.
When he reached the street's junction with Hawes Road, the boy was involved in a crash with a black Toyota Hiace.
The 11-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital with "serious injuries", according to a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson.
He received urgent medical treatment and remains in hospital at this time.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this serious road traffic collision and police are appealing for witnesses.
The force is keen to speak to two children who were present on bicycles at the time of the crash.
