Heslington Road has been closed by an uprooted tree
An uprooted tree has closed a York road and forced buses to divert.
Council workmen are removing the danger on Heslington Road.
The tree is among those which line the road near Lamel Beeches and the Retreat Hospital.
The No 66 service is diverting via Green Dykes Road, Lawrence Street and Cemetery Road in both directions.
The cause of the tree uprooting is unknown.
