This great aerial photograph of Bolton town centre was taken in 1978.
The iconic buildings such as the town hall and Le Mans Crescent are clearly visible.
But you can also see the various mills on Great Moor Street that were still standing in 1978 in the bottom left of the photo.
The big car park, bottom right, is the site of the old Great Moor Street station with the line to Blackburn going up the right hand side of the picture. What else can you recognise?
