IT is three days since the last new coronavirus death was reported at any hospitals in the Bradford district.

NHS England announced in today's update that there were no further deaths reported from the COVID-19 virus at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI), Airedale General Hospital or Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The last time a death from the virus was reported in any of those settings was on Tuesday, July 28.

The death itself was on Sunday, July 26, at BRI.

The total death toll at hospitals in the Bradford district remains at 345 today - 234 at BRI, 109 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

NHS England announced four patients at hospitals in the North East and Yorkshire who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) has died.

Three of the deaths were at hospitals in Yorkshire and the Humber.

Two were in South Yorkshire (The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust), with one one at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Pontefract Hospital, Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, Dewsbury and District Hospital and community health services in Wakefield.

There were an extra nine deaths reported today across England, taking the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in the country to 29,338.

Patients in today's update were aged between 73 and 92-years-old. 

Most patients had underlying health conditions, apart from one 75-year-old.

Their families have been informed.
