Zak Mills has joined fellow League Two side Port Vale after his Oldham departure.
The 28-year-old made 25 appearances for Latics last season after joining from Morecambe, scoring one goal, but was released at the end of the campaign.
The full back has now moved to Vale Park to join a club who only just missed out on the play-offs, John Askey’s side a point outside the top six when the coronavirus pandemic hit.
“He’s a good footballer and he likes to join in going forward, we’re looking forward to working with him,” said assistant manager Dave Kevan.
“He’s come in as a right-back first and foremost but if we need him to play in another position, he’ll be available for that role.”
Mills has signed a one-year deal with his new club.
