Fire crews rushed to tackle a flat fire on Felspar Close in Plumstead last night (July 3), generating a large amount of smoke.
Images of smoke plumes pouring from a facade of what appeared to be the Marble House tower block on Felspar Close circulated on social media after the fire broke out.
On Saturday (July 4), the Greenwich Station of London Fire Brigade (LFB) tweeted a short statement confirming their presence at the blaze.

They said it took place on the sixth floor of a building on Felspar Close in Plumstead.
"Plumstead and Greenwich firefighters were called to a 6th floor fire last night in Felspar close," a spokesperson for the borough firefighters said.
"6 Fire engines, 3 hoselines and breathing apparatus were used to control the fire. There were no reported injuries," they added.
LFB were contacted for further comment.
