A CHEESEBURGER from Five Guys is Ealing’s favourite carry-out meal, according to a survey by Deliveroo.

With the end of lockdown in sight, the delivery service has taken a look back over the past 12 weeks to see what Londoners have been eating (and drinking) while staying home.

Its survey paints a diverse picture, with some interesting trends highlighted.

Burgers are the most popular lockdown dish across the board, making up 16% of top choices.

Supermarkets, convenience stores and off-licences have also used Deliveroo to ensure essential items are available for those in isolation.

In Pinner, a pack of Co-op free range eggs tops the list of most popular items ordered during lockdown, while in Barnet it’s M&S bananas.

Group ordering is on the up and Londoners have been eating earlier, around 7pm.

Fridays are the new Saturday and it’s now the most popular day of the weekend to order a takeaway.
