A PRESTATYN carpark has been among the first to reopened in Denbighshire, to relieve parking pressures in the town.
Despite other car parks in the county remaining closed as lock down continues, the Nova West car park on Beach Road West was initially reopened for two days from Thursday, June 25.
However, this was just a temporary measure before the nearby 'Central' carpark to the rear of the Nova leisure centre, on Bastion Road, reopens.
A spokesperson for Denbigh County Council said: "The Council decided to re-open the Nova West car park on Thursday and Friday last week, following complaints by residents living on surrounding streets.
"They were legitimate concerns about people parking on double yellow lines which are in place to ensure the safety of road users.
"The Nova West closed later on Friday when the car park to the rear of the Nova was re-opened for public use."
A further announcement about car parks will be made in due course.
