DEBENHAMS in Dunfermline will re-open to shoppers next week.
The retail giant has confirmed that their Kingsgate Centre store is set to welcome the public back on Monday.
It is one of six Debenhams stores across Scotland to do so following the decision to close all 153 of their UK shops temporarily on March 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The company stated: "We're excited to be able to start welcoming you back into our stores and want to reassure you that the safety of our customers and staff remains our highest priority."
The number of shoppers allowed in the store at any one time will be limited and clear signage will be in place to ensure social distancing is met.
Hand sanitiser for staff and customers will be available and perspex screens have been fitted at checkouts with customers asked to use contactless payment if possible with the contactless limit increased to £45.
In order to comply with national guidance, dressing rooms and toilets will remain closed until further notice. Beauty services and makeovers, click and collect, bra-fitting and in-store ordering are also unavailable.
The Press reported recently that Debenhams in Dunfermline would reopen following fears that the store would remain shut when the company went into administration in April.
