A Bradford man is behind bars awaiting sentence for making hundreds of indecent images of children.

Liam Heaton, 32, of Torre Road, Buttershaw, pleaded guilty to seven offences today. They were all similar counts of making indecent photographs of children on or before October 8, 2015.

Heaton appeared before Bradford Crown Court on a video link to Leeds Prison.

The photographs included the most serious Category A images and both still and moving pictures.

Heaton’s barrister, Shufqat Khan, asked for the case to be adjourned for the preparation of an “all options” report from the probation service.

He said his client was a man of previous good character.

Judge Colin Burn adjourned the hearing until July 16.

He told Heaton: “It’s got to be a custodial sentence of some form.”

Heaton was remanded back into custody.
