A BRIGHOUSE man has been remanded back into custody after admitting wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and doing £500 damage to an office window.

Ian Noble, 48, of Barber Street, appeared before Bradford Crown Court on a video link to Leeds Prison today to plead guilty to four offences.

They were unlawfully and maliciously wounding a man with intent to do him grievous bodily harm in Brighouse on February 4; assaulting the same victim on the same day, causing him actual bodily harm; doing £500 criminal damage to an office window at Booth Wire Products in the town; and having a knife as an offensive weapon.

The court heard that one psychiatrist has already recommended that Noble be transferred to a hospital for mental health treatment.

Another psychiatrist must agree before he can be moved from the prison to a hospital.

Noble’s barrister, Abdul Shakoor, said it would take up to six weeks for such a report to be prepared.

Judge Jonathan Gibson adjourned the case until July 24.

He said that if the medical report was ready before then, the date could be moved forward to speed up the transfer.
