A MAN jailed for four years and eight months for running the Was Line street drug dealing ring had only the £215 seized from him by the police as his available assets.
Waseem Akhtar, 33, of Beacon Street, Wibsey, Bradford, was locked up at Bradford Crown Court on January 31 after he was apprehended as part of the Operation Errantdance police crackdown on “ring and bring” mobile crack cocaine and heroin dealers in Bradford East.
The court heard at that time that Akhtar ran the Was Line.
He admitted 12 offences of Class A drug trafficking and two of possession with intent to supply.
Today, Judge Jonathan Rose made a confiscation order in the sum of £215.
The money is already in the hands of the police after it was seized from Akhtar when he was arrested.
