A BURY music event has been cancelled due to coronavirus pandemic.
Organisers of Bury Bandemonium 2020, which was due to take place on June 20, have announced that this year's event is no longer going ahead.
The annual event, which would have marked its seventh year this month, sees bands and choirs performing throughout the day in various open air spaces around Bury town centre.
Chairman of the organizing committee, Andrew Taylor, said: ‘We are naturally disappointed at having to cancel this much-loved event, but with Government instructions on social distancing, bands are not able to rehearse and crowds are prohibited from gathering in the town centre.
"However, we are already planning for next year. So please put Saturday June 19, 2021, in your diaries when Bury Bandemonium will be back."
