THE cheapest house in Oldbury which was auctioned with a guide price of just £45k attracted lots of interest at auction.
The two bedroom terrace in Barker Street, which needs a bit of TLC, was on the market with a guide price of £45k.
It was snapped up at a SDL Auctions sale last Thursday (May 28) for £73k.
The sales notes for the home stated it could be a good investment for a landlord, who would be able to rent it out for £500 a month.
The auction was held behind closed doors and broadcast live online with remote bidding.
The leasehold empty two-bedroomed terraced house, which has two reception rooms, is set back from the footpath by a small fore-garden.
The sales details noted: "The house is located within ten minutes of J2 M5 and Langley train station, making it ideal for those needed to commute.
"We believe that are approximately 14 years left on the lease, however, please refer to the legal pack for further details."
