A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was accosted by a man as she walked along Livesey Branch Road in Blackburn on Saturday.

The town's magistrates heard John Carter made a lewd comment to the girl who hurried away.

But minutes later he was in front of her again, put his hands down his pants and made another suggestive comment.

Carter, 43, of Back Lane, Heckmondwike, Yorkshire, pleaded guilty to breach of a sexual harm prevention order.

He was sent in custody to be sentenced on June 29 after Deputy District Judge Phil Barnes said the offence was "far too serious" for the magistrates court to deal with.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said the sexual harm prevention order was made for an indefinite period in 2015.

On Saturday the girl was walking along Livesey Branch Road at 1.45pm when Carter approached her for the first time.

She said CCTV footage showed Carter get into a car after the first incident.

The same car was caught on another CCTV system further up the road shortly before the girl was accosted for the second time.
