Two fundraisers who appeared on the channel British Muslim TV have apologised for sexist comments they made live on the channel.
In the segment which has been shared widely on social media the two men can be heard making derogatory comments about women. The two fundraisers thought they had gone to an advert break but the feed remained live during the appeal which was aired during Ramadan on behalf of charity Global One.
Viewers were left shocked and Muslims across Twitter criticised the actions of the two fundraisers.
“cheeky little boob graze”? I’m actually disgusted and in disbelief. pic.twitter.com/q7b0IxZcdz

Tbh I’m not standing for this and im not staying quiet. I’ve heard plenty of muslim men speak like this about sisters and if the roles were reversed us sisters would be publicly humiliated by now!

A brother called them and asked for an apology and they laughed and cut the call! pic.twitter.com/yIG3iDEQq7
British Muslim TV apologised for the 'unacceptable conduct of charity fundraisers on the channel.'
The statement read, "Once it became apparent via social media that this footage had aired, we issued our first statement of apology within hours of becoming aware. However, we recognise that statement could have been stronger hence we are reaching out in person today.
"We would like to reiterate that neither British Muslim TV nor its charity partner Global One will be using the services of the two fundraisers in question."
The charity Global One also apologised and said it was 'upset and disappointed by the misogynistic comments.'

The two presenters Faz Ali and Jawad Sarwar have since posted their own public apologies saying the comments did not represent who they were.
