- Around four homes were evacuated after gardens and bushes caught fire behind Bradshaw Road, Watford

- Sixty firefighters battled the blaze which began in a railway embankment, which runs behind Bradshaw Road, at around 2.30pm

- Several fire engines have been at the scene in north Watford alongside the incident response unit, police and paramedics.

- Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue says as many as 12 properties were affected.
