MYSTERY surrounds the presence of police tape at the Ogden Water reservoir car park.
The site was closed off by reams of tape yesterday but a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said they were not aware of any incidents at the site.
The Yorkshire Water facility is closed at the moment because of the coronavirus situation and there is speculation that someone has taken it in their hands to use the tape to stop people parking there.
It is not thought that Yorkshire Water use police tape to shut off their car parks. They have just used bollards at other sites.
The police spokesperson said: "I’m not aware of any police incident.
"The short answer is I don’t know if it’s WYP tape or not."
