A FUNDRAISING page has been set up to help pay for the funeral of a man who died after being found with serious head injuries in Brighouse.

Officers were called at 1.36am on Monday by the ambulance service to Thornes Park, Brighouse.

Mathew Kitcher, 33, from Rastrick, was found with serious head injuries and was taken to hospital, but died from his injuries, prompting the launch of a murder investigation.

A 44-year-old man and 32-year-old man who were arrested on Monday have been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 52-year-old woman has been released with no further action.

A 36-year-old woman arrested late Monday evening has since been bailed pending further enquiries and enquiries are ongoing.

Now, a Go Fund Me page called 'There’s only one Matty Kitcher' has been set up.

It says: "Raising money for Mathew's funeral, all donations will be going to his dear mum."

Nearly £1,500 has been raised so far and a number of tributes have been left.

James Ferguson wrote: "I've not seen Matty in years. Was same form throughout school. Always a laugh. Good memories. Seems so long ago. Class clown and always laughing. Genuinely couldn't say a bad word about him. RIP Matty."
