Emirates Airline is suspending all passenger flights from March 25 for a period of two weeks
It comes as as the United Arab Emirates halted all inbound, outbound and transit passenger flights in an effort to halt the spread of the coronavirus.
Emirates said in a statement here on Monday, “As per the latest UAE government directive, Emirates will temporarily suspend all passenger flights for 2 weeks from 25 March 2020.
“These measures are in place for the protection of communities against the spread of COVID-19, and we are in full support. We look forward to resuming passenger services as soon as feasible. Affected customers should visit emirates.com for more information on rebooking or contact their travel agents for assistance.”
The announcement adds, "Customers who booked directly with Emirates can visit the Travel Voucher webpage and add “Refund request due to Coronavirus” in the comments section. Customers who booked with a travel agent must contact them for further assistance with their bookings."
