An elderly woman has been found dead inside a Croydon home.
"Police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 9.15am on Tuesday, March 17 to reports of a woman taken ill at an address in Brighton Road.
The woman, believed aged in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman's next of kin are aware and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman also confirmed they were called to the address.
“We sent an ambulance crew and two medics in cars to the scene," she said.
"Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene."
