Six people have now died in the UK from coronavirus.
The Department of Health and Social Care confirmed the latest figures as of 9am today Tuesday, March 10.
So far, a total of 26,261 people have been tested, with 25,888 confirmed negative and 373 confirmed positive.
NHS England confirmed the sixth victim of Covid-19 was a patient was being cared for at Watford General Hospital.
The organisation says he is a man in his 80s and he had underlying health conditions.
Watford General Hospital confirmed on Friday, March 6, that it had one case of Covid-19 at the hospital.
England's chief medical officer, Professor Chris Whitty, said: "I am sorry to confirm a sixth patient in England who tested positive for Covid-19 has sadly died. I offer my sincere condolences to their family and friends and ask that their privacy is respected.
"The patient, who was being treated by West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, was in their 80s and had underlying health conditions.
"It appears the virus was acquired in the UK and full contact tracing has begun."
The first case of coronavirus in Waltham Forest was also confirmed earlier today.
It is believed the Waltham Forest resident contracted the virus at an event outside of the borough.
Council officials say they are “not aware of community transmission within the borough.”
Essex currently has six confirmed coronavirus cases, the latest case at a doctors surgery at Baddow Village Surgery in Chelmsford
The section where the patient waited and was treated within the surgery in late February, has since undergone a deep clean and remains open.
