A British bulldog puppy stolen during a knifepoint robbery has been found safe around a 45-minute drive away from its home.

Three-month-old Spot was taken from his owner by two strangers in Lullington Cresent, Orpington, at 8.50am on Tuesday, March 3.

His owner was threatened with a knife in before thieves took Spot into a white Mercedes CLA Sport.

Fortunately, the pup has now been found wandering inn athe street in Harlow, more than 35 miles away.

He has since been safely returned to his owner.

As a result of inquiries by detectives from the Met Police’s South Command Unit, officers from Central East Command and the TSG executed a warrant in Newham.

A 33-year-old-man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is now in custody at a north London police station.

The Met police said they want to thank the public and media for their support.
