THREE people had to be rescued from a car that flipped on its side on the M6.
The fire service were called to the motorway near Garstang at around 8pm.
A police spokesman said: "The vehicle left the carriageway and flipped onto its side owing to sudden sleet and hail downpour.
"Three trapped occupants were extracted by the fire service and placed into the care of the ambulance service.
"Thankfully no reported injuries."
