The only bird rescue centre in Bolton is appealing for help after the land it used to store its release aviaries was put up for sale.

Every Feather & Wild Life Rescue became the only functioning bird rescue in Bolton after the closure of Greenmount Wild Bird Rescue, in Tottington, and the downsizing of the Wildlife Hospital in Horwich.

A spokesman from the sanctuary said: “We desperately need to find a small piece of land.

“Last year we were so busy and we can’t afford to lose these release aviaries.”

Every Feather was opened in 2011 by sisters Samantha and Stephanie Williams at their home in Little Hulton, Bolton.

The sanctuary is looking for a small piece of land which they would ideally like to use indefinitely.

It would be for enclosures and would be private for the rescue.

The rescue is looking for this to be in the Over Hulton, Westhoughton or Atherton area.
