Three fire engines fought a flat fire in Dartford around midnight last night after smoke and flames were seen billowing out the second floor of a building.
Kent Fire and Rescue Services were called to a flat on Mitchell Close in Dartford around 11am on Sunday, February 23, and two occupants were passed over to paramedics.
Three fire engines arrived at the scene to find smoke and flames issuing from the second floor, and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a main jet and hose reel to tackle the blaze.
The fire was fully dealt with by 12 minutes past midnight, with firefighters clearing smoke from the property using a high pressure fan.
The flat's two occupants were outside the building when emergency services arrived, and were taken care of by South East Coast Ambulance paramedics for minor smoke inhalation.
It is believed that the fire was started accidentally by an electrical fault.
