Social media users were quick to react.
American author John Pavlovitz tweeted, "Now, talk about Daddy's Muslim travel bans!"
Another social media user posted, "Your father is bigoted against Muslims of all nationalities. Your duplicity is despicable."
One tweet reads, "No no no! you are Islamophobic! Don't ruin the narrative!"
Another Twitter user wrote, "Nice photo op, you dare to don the garments that your own father condemns and likens to terrorist activity. Where were you when the Muslim ban became a thing? You're a fraud."
